"Coffee and Conversation"

Here is the larger version of "Saturday Morning Coffee". I'm always saying how hard these larger ones are for me, and this one is no exception. I hope they get easier because I want to have about three more done by the end of this month. 

This is photo of the framed painting. My house is too dark to get a decent photo while hanging, but it just happened that the sun was shining on in for a moment, so I took the picture. I've said before how important it is for oil paintings to have nice light in order to get the full benefit of the oils. I desparately need better lighting in my house for my paintings. I have a large wall that I hang groups of my small ones and then a large one over the table. My ceiling is a high cathedral ceiling, and I don't know how track lighting would work with it. Any suggestions?

Here's another small main street painting. I think I'll do a 24x24 of this one. 

I don't know if I mentioned that I sold two small paintings from the internet last week. One was from facebook and one must have come from my Daily Paint Works site because they paid through Paypal. One that sold was "Saturday Morning Coffee" and the buyer wrote a note letting me know that she loved it and it is hanging close to one of their Quang Ho paintings! I love his work and feel honored to have mine in the same room as his!! The other piece that sold was "Winter Impressions". Both sales were so unexpected. I could get used to that.

Here is a painting that I finished a few weeks ago and have not posted until now. Greenville has a wonderful park, with a large natural waterfall and this bridge is suspended above it. I love the curvy shape of the bridge and look forward to painting many more of this subject.
